Detailed description

A shipbuilding project is a ship that is not yet completed, that is under construction, for example in a shipyard.

A ship construction project can be legally registered and entered into the shipbuilding register. This might be the case, for example, if financing is secured by a ship mortgage or if the ship is to be auctioned off.

Once the ship is finished, it is no longer considered a shipbuilding project, but a ship. The completed ship can then be registered in the ship register.

Under certain conditions, you can inspect the shipbuilding register. This allows you to verify information on registered shipbuilding projects. You can obtain a copy from the shipbuilding register, with or without certification.
