With a resident's certificate, you as the owner or other authorized person receive information about the condition of a property and the adjacent development system in terms of development contributions.

Detailed description

A property owner's certificate provides information about the contribution status of a property in Hamburg. It also includes information about future development contributions still to be billed for the affected development project.


The certificate of entitlement to property owners can be requested without any formal requirements or deadlines from the responsible department for property owner contributions at the Finance and Districts Authority. An online service is available for this purpose. Issuance of a certificate of entitlement to property owners is subject to a fee.

The application for the issuance of a resident's certificate must be submitted informally in writing by post, email or via the Internet (online service).



Note: Please name the property for which a resident's certificate is being requested.

If you are applying for a resident's certificate for a client, please enclose a corresponding power of attorney.

Procedure

You can apply for the property owner certificate without any specific form or deadline from the Property Owner Contributions Department of the Authority for Finance and Districts by mail, email ( Anliegerbeitraege@fb.hamburg.de) or online. You will then receive the property owner certificate by mail along with the fee notice.

Approximately two weeks.

Since January 1, 2026:


Location at a development site €56.80


Surcharge for each additional development facility: +€18.90


Surcharge for extra difficulty + €18.90




You will receive a fee notice by post.
