Detailed description

If your company—a partnership or corporation such as a GmbH, AG, OHG, GbR, or other company—operates a facility that requires a permit and several people are authorized to represent it, you must appoint a responsible person. This person will then assume the tasks and responsibilities associated with operating the facility.


Exactly which operator obligations must be fulfilled depends on the type of system.


Even if you appoint a person, all authorized representatives in the company remain responsible for the safe and compliant operation of the system.

  • You operate a facility that requires approval under emissions control law.

In your report, provide information about the person who is responsible for operating the facility.

  • The responsible authority will review your information and request further information or documents from you if necessary.
