Report if you make changes to an operating area within the meaning of the Major Accident Ordinance or an associated facility in a way that is relevant to safety.



If you have already provided this information as part of another notification or approval procedure, no separate notification is necessary.

 

Information

Prerequisites

You are planning a major accident-relevant change in an operating area within the meaning of the Major Accident Ordinance or an associated facility.

Documents required

Complete notification: Your notification must contain specific information about the incident-relevant change that has occurred.

Please note

You are committing an administrative offence if you do not report a change to the operating area or a facility within the operating area that is relevant to a major accident, or if you do not report it correctly, completely, in the prescribed manner or in a timely manner.

Deadlines

Indicate the incident-relevant change one month before it comes into effect.

Procedure

  • You submit the complete notification in writing to the responsible authority.
  • The responsible authority will review your report.
  • If necessary, the responsible authority will request further information from you.

Processing time

There is no statutory processing time.

Fees

Fees apply. The amount depends on the effort involved.
