Submit a measurement report on continuous measurements of air pollutants at other installations

Detailed description

If you operate industrial or commercial facilities that require a permit, you may be required by the authorities to:

  • to monitor compliance with limit values for air pollutants through continuous measurements and
  • to create a measurement report on the results.
 

Information

Prerequisites

  • You operate an industrial or commercial facility that requires a permit.
  • You have put the system into operation.
  • The permit stipulates the monitoring of air pollutant emissions through continuous measurements.

Documents required

  • complete measurement report
  • If necessary, further documents can be found in the approval notice

Please note

If you do not carry out measurements ordered by the authorities, do not carry them out correctly, do not carry them out completely or do not carry them out on time, you are committing an administrative offence which can be punished with a fine.

Deadlines


  • The approval notice will tell you when you must submit the measurement report.

  • Keep the measurement report for at least 5 years.

Procedure

  • Details about the type and extent of the required measurements can be found in the approval notice.
  • You continuously measure the air pollutants in your facility.
  • They evaluate the continuous measurements of the respective reporting period.
  • You create a measurement report based on the results.
  • You can commission an accredited measuring institute or an expert to evaluate the continuous measurements or to prepare the measurement report.
  • You check the measurement report and submit it to the responsible authority.
  • The responsible agency will review your report and request additional documents or information from you if necessary.
