If you wish to transfer your permit to transport passengers commercially by taxi to another person, you must apply for a permit.

Important notes

Prerequisites

You already have a taxi license.
They can ensure the safety and efficiency of the company.
They have the necessary reliability.
You are professionally qualified.
You as the applicant and the companies you have commissioned to provide transport services have their registered office or branch in Germany.

In the case of legal entities under public law, the requirements are deemed to be met.

Documents required

Valid authorization
Declaration of the licensee agreeing to assume the obligations arising from the taxi license
Application for transfer of taxi license with the following information:
- Reasons why the taxi license should be transferred
- Surname, first name of the applicant
- Residence and place of business
- For natural persons: date of birth, place of birth
- Number of vehicles
- Vehicle type
- Capacity of the vehicles used
- Service certificates or examination certificates confirming the professional qualifications of the licensee or the persons appointed to manage the business
- Equity certificate / additional certificate from the approval recipient (not older than 12 months)
Certificate of clearance from the tax office, the municipality, the social security office and the professional association
- The clearance certificates must not be older than 3 months.
- The clearance certificates must be submitted by the company, the legal representative and the persons appointed to manage the business of the permit holder (traffic management).

Vehicle list,
if applicable, rental contracts for rental vehicles
Leasing list
Proof of liability insurance for taxis including risk code (WKZ)
Proof of installation of an alarm system or exemption permit
Proof of installation of a fare display (taximeter) and, if applicable, the last calibration report
Business registration
In the case of partnerships, the list of partners, the partnership agreement or
other proof of eligibility to contract
Certified extract from the commercial register

Please note

There are no special features to consider.

Deadlines

If your application is complete, a decision will be made within three months. This deadline can be extended by three months if necessary. Deadlines only begin to run once all necessary documents have been received.

Procedure

You submit your application to the responsible authority and attach all necessary documents.
The responsible body will process your application and conduct the necessary hearing procedures.
You will receive written notification of the decision. If the decision is positive, you will be issued with the approval certificate.

The processing time is usually 3 months.

Fees

The amount of the fees depends on the number of vehicles and the duration of the permit.
