Apply for bus permit extension

Prerequisites

• You already have a bus and coach permit.
• The safety and efficiency of your company is guaranteed.
• There are no facts that would suggest your unreliability.
• You or the person appointed to manage the business is professionally qualified.
• You and the entrepreneurs you have commissioned to provide transport services have their registered office or branch within the meaning of commercial law in Germany.

In the case of legal entities under public law, the requirements are deemed to be met.

Documents required

• valid permit
• Application for extension of the bus permit with the following information:
  • Surname, first name of the applicant
  • Residence and place of business
  • for natural persons: date of birth, place of birth
  • Number of vehicles, vehicle type, capacity of the vehicles used
• Annual financial statements or opening balance sheet / balance sheet
• if applicable, equity certificate / additional certificate (not older than 3 months)
• Vehicle list

Please note

Deadlines

If your application is complete, a decision will be made within three months. This deadline can be extended by three months if necessary.

Procedure

• You submit your application to the responsible office and attach all necessary documents.
• The responsible body will process your application and conduct the necessary hearing procedures.
• You will receive a notification of the decision to grant the bus permit.
• If necessary, you will be given the certificate of approval.
