Detailed description

If you plan to commission a medium-sized combustion plant, gas turbine or internal combustion engine, you must notify the responsible authority in advance.


The notification obligation generally applies to all individual combustion plants, whether or not subject to authorisation, with a thermal output of at least 1 megawatt and less than 50 megawatts.


The information you provide will be entered into a register of assets that is publicly accessible.

Prerequisites

You would like to commission a medium-sized combustion, gas turbine or combustion engine plant.

Documents required

  • Completed "Notification form for the plant register for medium-sized combustion, gas turbine or combustion engine plants - 44th BImSchV" (see links)
  • Written or electronic declaration if a regulation for installations with few operating hours is used

Please note

You are committing an administrative offence if you do not submit the report, do not submit it correctly, do not submit it completely, do not submit it in the prescribed manner or do not submit it on time.

Deadlines

If you operate individual combustion systems, you must indicate the intended operation of the combustion system before commissioning.

Procedure

  • Complete the "Notification Form for the Plant Register for Medium-Sized Combustion, Gas Turbine, or Combustion Engine Plants - 44th Federal Immission Control Ordinance" and submit it by email to the responsible authority. Do not alter the completed form. Do not scan or print it to PDF.
  • The responsible authority will review your notification and request further documents if necessary.
  • The responsible authority registers the combustion plant.
  • You will receive a notification
  • The information about your facility in the Hamburg facility register is being updated. The Hamburg facility register is publicly accessible.

Processing time



If the notification and all documents are complete, the competent authority will register the combustion plant within one month
