Detailed description

Every year, from July 1 to August 31, special restrictions apply to truck travel on Saturdays. Trucks over 7.5 tons or trucks with trailers are not permitted to drive on certain motorways and federal highways between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays.


You can apply for an exemption for urgent and essential transports. This applies, for example, to the delivery of fresh food and medicines, time-sensitive transports, or the return journey of an empty truck after a completed delivery.

Prerequisites

  • Your truck weighs over 7.5 tons or tows a trailer.
  • You would like to drive the truck on a Saturday between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. between July 1 and August 31.
  • Your journey will take place on a route where truck traffic is restricted during this period.
  • You can prove and justify that this trip is absolutely necessary.

Processing time

Processing will take place within a few days.

Fees

The fee for an exemption for a Saturday is EUR 50.30.


If the permit is to be valid for the entire period, the fee is EUR 200.30.
