Detailed description

The discharge of ballast water must be carried out in compliance with specific environmental regulations. Before you discharge your ballast water into port water, you must report this to the competent authority. After inspection, the competent authority may ask you to provide evidence of compliant treatment. If the regulations are not complied with, the competent authority may prohibit the discharge into port water.

Procedure

  • You access the online service and fill out the query form completely.
  • You send the message.
  • You will receive a confirmation of receipt.
  • The responsible authority will review your report and contact you if there are any questions or further action is required.
  • You will receive a written notification.

Use of the online service by you: approximately 10-15 minutes


Processing time by the responsible authority: up to 4 hours
