The election offices in the Hamburg districts are responsible for processing applications for postal voting, maintaining the register of eligible voters, issuing ballot papers and sending postal voting documents. They are also available to citizens for questions and concerns about postal voting.
In addition, a central postal voting office will be set up on Gerhart-Hauptmann-Platz, which will be open to all eligible voters to apply for postal voting documents.
In order to participate in the election, you must be eligible to vote in the relevant election.

The polling stations are open on the following days and at these times:
Monday to Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Thursday: 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Additionally open:
Friday, 21 and 28 February 2025: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
The following special opening hours apply for the replacement of absentee ballot documents or those lost or in the event of sudden illness:

Sunday, February 23, 2025: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
For general information: Sunday, February 23, 2025: 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
state election:
Saturday, March 1, 2025: 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Sunday, March 2, 2025: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. (No replacement ballot papers!)

The central postal voting office at Gerhart-Hauptmann-Platz has the following opening hours:
From 21 January 2025 to 27 February 2025:
Monday to Friday: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
On Saturdays January 25, 2025, and February 1, 8 and 15, 2025: 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Additionally open: Friday, 21 and 28 February 2025: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
The polling station will open for you on January 21, 2025 and will close at 6:00 p.m. on election day. The polling stations will open on January 21, 2025.
The ballot papers you need for the federal election will be issued from February 8, 2025.
At the electoral office you can apply for a ballot paper, for postal voting and for inclusion in the register of eligible voters.
