Report changes to safety-relevant facilities and precautions at a genetic engineering facility

Prerequisites

• You are the operator of the genetic engineering facility.
• You intend to make changes to the safety-relevant facilities or precautions of the genetic engineering facility.

Documents required

• site plan
• layouts
• depending on the type of system
  • Form AL for the laboratory area,
  • Form AP for the production area,
  • Form AG for greenhouses and climate chambers or
  • Form AT for the animal husbandry sector

Please note

Deadlines

• Communicate the planned changes before they come into effect.


• Report any unforeseen changes immediately.

Procedure

• They shall inform the competent authority of any planned changes to safety-relevant facilities and precautions.
• The responsible authority will receive your notification and examine it.
• If necessary, she will request further documents or information from you.
• You will receive confirmation of the change and a fee notice.

Processing time

Processing takes approximately 1 to 3 weeks.

Fees apply. These are based on the Hamburg Environmental Fees Ordinance in its current version.
