Detailed description

As a citizen, company, authority or public interest group (TÖB), you can participate in the creation or amendment of a state-wide spatial development plan and view changes. By participating, you can contribute to the planning process.


The state-wide spatial plan determines how the limited resource of space is to be used. There are different ways of using the space, for example:

  • Reside
  • business
  • Traffic
  • Infrastructure / Wind
  • recovery or
  • nature and environment

The national spatial plan generally consists of:

  • Indication of the legal basis on which the spatial development plan is based,
  • Determination of objectives and principles of spatial planning and

Justification and explanation of the objectives and principles of spatial planning.

Please note

Public interest bodies (TÖB) are authorities or institutions that carry out public tasks by law. TÖB are, for example, municipalities, road construction authorities, nature conservation authorities, agricultural authorities or water authorities.

Deadlines

You have at least one month to participate from the start of the publication of the spatial development plan on the Internet. This period applies to the public as well as to authorities and other public interest groups.

Procedure

  • You can comment or submit a statement on the planned land use plan (statewide spatial planning plan) from the time of its public announcement.
    • An online service is available to you.
    • Other options for submitting comments are detailed in the announcement. Further possibilities include: in writing, for recording in person at the responsible authority, or during a public participation event.
  • If you, as a public authority or body with public interests, are identified as being affected, you will be contacted by the responsible authority and asked to submit a statement online.
  • The submitted comments will be collected and reviewed by the responsible authority after the deadline. Other private and public interests will be taken into account.
  • You will be informed of the result of the assessment.

State and Urban Development

You can view the state-wide spatial development plan at the specialist authority (BSW) and in the district offices.
