Deadlines

Please note that care assistance can only be provided once the need for it has become known. Please submit an application even if you do not yet have all the documents in place.

Procedure

The need for assistance can be reported informally to the responsible authority. A fully completed social assistance application should then be submitted promptly.
Since these social assistance benefits can only be granted from the point in time at which the basic security and social welfare office learns of the applicant's need for assistance, the need for assistance should be reported as soon as possible.
After the application has been reviewed and, if necessary, further opinions have been obtained, you will receive a decision.

Processing time

A decision will be made on the application as quickly as possible. The processing time depends, among other things, on the completeness of the information and the submission of the evidence required to process the application.
