Advertising installations over public areas

Prerequisites

The requirements of Section 19 Paragraph 1, Sentence 4 of the Hamburg Roads Act must be met:
No restriction on traffic safety and no disproportionate impairment of the ease of traffic
No disproportionate restriction on public use or exclusion for a disproportionate period.
No disproportionate impairment of path components, measures relating to the construction of paths, the surroundings or environment, urban development or other public interests, including the generation of income from the use of paths, and public or private rights of third parties.
There is no entitlement to a special use permit.
Furthermore, in most cases an application is required in accordance with Section 62 of the Hamburg Building Code

Documents required

Applications can be made informally. The application should state the following:
exact location names and information about the advertising system (length, width, height and installation height)
Purpose and type of use
Period of time from to …
exact company details (name, address, phone, fax, email, contact person)
A site plan with the property boundary marked in red and entries is helpful

Processing time

The processing time is 6 weeks after submission of the complete documents.

Fees

Varies depending on type of use, minimum fee 50 €
