Apply for a license to represent a prostitution business

Do you want to have your prostitution business run by a representative? Here you can find out how and where to apply for a representative permit.

Detailed description

If you are the operator of a prostitution business, you can have it run by a representative.


To do this, you must apply for a representative permit.



You can also operate your prostitution business through several people appointed as representatives.


You must apply for a separate authorization to act as your representative for each of these persons.



The authorization to act as a representative may be limited in time.

 

Information

Prerequisites

  • The person designated as a substitute must be at least 18 years old.
  • The person designated as deputy agrees to a background check.
  • You already have a permit to operate a prostitution business or
  • You meet the requirements for a permit to operate a prostitution business.

Documents required

  • Permission to operate a prostitution business
  • First and last name of the person to be checked
  • Consent of the person designated for representation to check reliability

If you do not yet have a permit to operate a prostitution business, alternatively:

  • Application for permission to operate a prostitution business or
  • Application ID (case number) of an operating permit procedure that is already ongoing but not yet completed

Please note

You can apply for a license to act as a substitute at the same time as you apply for a license to operate a prostitution business.



If your prostitution business is no longer run by the person appointed as your representative, you must report this to the relevant authority.

However, you must have a license to operate the relevant prostitution business before you can act as a representative. Therefore, a timely application is required.

Procedure

  • You submit the application for permission to act as a representative to the responsible authority.
  • The responsible body will review the documents and conduct a reliability check on the person designated as deputy. The person designated as deputy must cooperate and consent to the reliability check.
  • If the assessment is positive, the responsible authority will grant you permission to act as a representative.
  • If the person appointed as your deputy is unreliable, you will be banned from working for them.

The processing time depends on the individual case.

Fees

The fee is charged according to the fee schedule for official acts under the Prostitute Protection Act, plus expenses for delivery.
