Operators who transport animal by-products must inform the competent authority before commencing their activities and will be registered there accordingly, unless it is part of the activities of an approved establishment.

All companies wishing to transport animal by-products or their derivatives are subject to registration requirements in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1069/2009.
