Get information about parental contributions

If you have your child looked after in a daycare facility, you will have to pay part of the care costs yourself once a certain level of care is reached.

  •

Detailed description

There are costs involved in having your child looked after in a daycare facility or by a childminder. The city of Hamburg covers these costs for its citizens within certain limits:

If your child is looked after in a daycare center for up to five hours a day or by a childminder for up to 25 hours a week, there are no costs for you. The same applies to daily care of up to six hours for children aged three and over with disabilities who receive integration assistance as part of daycare.

If you need more extensive care for your child, you usually have to cover part of the costs yourself. This portion is called the parental contribution.
