Reduce wastewater charges

  •

A wastewater charge is levied for discharging wastewater into surface water or groundwater. The wastewater charge you pay can be offset against certain investments you have made if certain conditions are met.

  •

Detailed description

You discharge wastewater into a body of water and have investments for:

  • the construction or extension of wastewater treatment plants/stormwater discharge systems or
  • the construction or extension of facilities that serve to fulfil the requirements for exemption from the tax on rainwater or
  • the connection of one wastewater treatment plant to another or
  • the connection of small dischargers to a wastewater treatment plant

made?

You can then have this offset against the wastewater tax you have to pay or have already paid. This will lead to a reduction in the amount you have to pay or to a refund of the amount you have already paid.

The billing period is determined on a daily basis. You must apply to the responsible office for the billing of the expenses incurred.
