Detailed description
The evening grammar school course leads working people to a general university entrance qualification in a three or four-year course. Classes take place at the Second Chance Education Campus in the afternoon and evening. If you are sufficiently motivated and suitable, you can choose the "Abitur Online" learning group, in which up to 40 percent of the lessons are given online.
The three-year course at the evening grammar school is divided into the preparatory stage (one year) and the study stage (two years). The number of lessons in the study stage is at least 22 lessons per week (part-time school education parallel to employment). The four-year course is preceded by a preparatory year.
Subjects taught are German, English, mathematics and, as part of the school's offering, a subject from the social sciences and a natural science of the student's choice. In addition, other subjects are chosen according to the school's offering. If necessary, the students must take a second foreign language. In addition, the students may be required to take remedial classes in the subjects German, mathematics and a foreign language in accordance with APO-Ca2B § 6 Paragraph 4. Profile areas are taken at the study level.

General higher education entrance qualification; under certain conditions, the university of applied sciences entrance qualification can be awarded after the first year of the study level at the earliest. The transition from the preparatory year to the preliminary level requires the acquisition of the intermediate school leaving certificate, which can be acquired in the preparatory year.
