Do you want to change an operating area according to the Major Accident Ordinance or a facility in the operating area that is relevant to major accidents? Then you must notify the responsible authority.

Detailed description

If you want to change an operating area according to the Major Accident Ordinance or a system in the operating area that is relevant to a major accident, you must notify the responsible authority in advance. This also applies to the cessation of operations, the operating area or a system in the operating area.


Your notification must contain specific information about the planned incident-relevant change.


You do not need to make a separate notification if you have already provided the information in an approval or notification procedure.

 

Information

Prerequisites

You would like to make a change relevant to a major accident in an operating area in accordance with the Major Accident Ordinance or to a facility in the operating area.

Documents required

Submit the complete advertisement with all required information.

Please note

You are committing an administrative offence if you do not report a planned change to the operating area or a facility in the operating area that is relevant to a major accident, or if you do not report it correctly, completely, in the prescribed manner or in a timely manner.

Deadlines

You must submit the notification to the competent authority at least one month before the change relevant to the incident occurs.

Procedure

  • You submit the complete notification in writing to the responsible authority.
  • The responsible authority will examine your report.
  • If necessary, the responsible authority will request further documents or information from you.

Processing time

There is no statutory processing time.

Fees

Fees apply. The amount of the fees is calculated according to the Environmental Fees Ordinance (UmwGebO) and depends on the time required for processing.
