Application for company certification according to the Chemicals Climate Protection Ordinance

Do you want to apply for certification under the Chemicals Climate Protection Ordinance for your company in order to carry out work on facilities containing fluorinated greenhouse gases? You can find out how to apply for this certification here.

Detailed description

Does your company intend to install, maintain, service, repair, or decommission stationary refrigeration systems, air conditioning systems, heat pumps, or fire protection equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases, as well as to check for leaks or recover the gases? Then your company needs a certificate, which you can apply for from the relevant authority.


The certificate must include at least the following information:


• the name of the certification body, the full name of the holder, the issue number and, where applicable, the expiry date,


• the activities that the certificate holder is authorized to carry out, specifying the maximum fill quantity in kg and the facilities concerned,


• the date of issue and the signature of the issuing authority.


As a registered EMAS company, you can also apply for the certificate from the relevant authority.

 

Information

Prerequisites

You will receive the certificate for your company in Hamburg from the responsible authority if


- Your company employs a sufficient number of certified natural persons to cover the expected volume of activity and


- Your company provides evidence that all necessary tools and procedures are accessible.


As a registered EMAS company, you can obtain the certificate if it is evident from the environmental statement or the environmental audit report that


- that the above-mentioned conditions are met,


- Name and location of the company,


- Name of the location,


- certified activities related to the site and its facilities,


- Name of the responsible authority, date and signature

Your company needs the certification before you start the related processes and activities.

Procedure

- You submit the application along with the relevant documents.


- The responsible authority receives the documents and examines them.


- If further information is required, the authority will contact you.


- The responsible authority will decide on your application.


You will receive a notification from the responsible authority.

Processing time

The processing time may vary in individual cases.


There is no legally mandated processing time.

Fees

50.00 EUR – 250.00 EUR


Fees apply. The amount of the fees depends on the administrative effort involved.

  • Objection within one month after receipt of the decision
