Detailed description

If you move out of your apartment and do not move to another apartment in Germany or do not live in Germany for more than 1 year, you must deregister.

If you no longer have a permanent residence or give up a secondary residence without replacement, you must deregister with your registration authority.

If you move within Germany, you do not have to deregister. It is sufficient to register with the registration authority at your new place of residence.

If you are under 16 years of age, you must be deregistered by the person whose home you are moving out of.
From the age of 16, you can unsubscribe without the consent of your legal guardian.
