Detailed description
If you want to hire long-term unemployed people, you can receive wage subsidies. The subsidies are intended to provide you with financial support as an employer and at the same time make it easier for people who have been unemployed for a long time to get back into the job market. The aim is for you to keep your new employee employed in your company as permanently as possible even after the subsidy ends.
The responsible authority can grant you wage cost subsidies for 2 years. The wage cost subsidy is paid monthly and amounts to
- in the first year of employment, 75 percent of the regular salary to be taken into account and
- in the second year of employment, 50 percent of the regular salary to be taken into account.
Lump sum payments such as Christmas or holiday bonuses cannot be subsidized. The subsidy includes a flat-rate social security contribution (except for unemployment insurance contributions).
The responsible body will also cover the costs of a two-year coaching session that will help your new employee with problems at work, in the family or in everyday life. Your sponsored employees should take part in this coaching session. The coaching can take place during or outside working hours, at the workplace or at another location.
In the first 6 months of the funding, you may have to release your sponsored employee from work for the coaching, while continuing to pay their salary. The coaching requirement is determined individually. Your business interests are taken into account when scheduling the coaching. The coaching is designed in such a way that it also takes into account the specific requirements you place on your staff. Technical training at the workplace is not part of the coaching. If necessary, you will be included in the coaching. The coaching staff will be available to answer any questions you may have about the sponsored employee. If necessary, professional training can also be funded.
