Detailed description
An environmental damage event is an incident in which harmful substances enter the environment and contaminate the soil, water or air. Hazards arise, for example, from:
- Leakage of oil, gasoline or diesel from vehicles
- leaky systems that release hazardous substances,
- accidents involving tank trucks
- incorrect disposal of used oil, cleaning agents or pesticides,
- Damage to heating oil tanks in private and commercial buildings.
You must report if you discover or cause environmental damage.
