As a late repatriate, you can have your foreign university degree recognized in Germany.

 

Information

Prerequisites

  • Her main residence is in Hamburg.
  • They are ethnic German repatriates.
  • You obtained your university degree in a resettlement area.
  • Your foreign university degree is equivalent to a comparable German university degree.

Documents required

  • Identification document (identity card, passport)
  • Federal Expellee ID Card
  • Certificate of name change, if applicable
  • current registration confirmation
  • Proof of your foreign university degree and translations by sworn translators.

  • You submit an application with all the required documents.
  • The responsible authority will review your documents. Further documents will be requested from you if necessary.
  • If the requirements are met, you will receive recognition.
  • If you do not meet the requirements, you will receive a rejection notice. Partial recognition is not possible.
