Check whether a certificate for the recurring inspection of the system requiring monitoring is available

The responsible body checks whether the legally prescribed recurring tests have been carried out on a system that requires monitoring.

Detailed description

The periodic inspection of the following systems requiring monitoring must be submitted to the authority on request:



ELEVATOR SYSTEMS


(Appendix 2, Section 2 BetrSichV), in particular

  • Lift systems within the meaning of Directive 2014/33/EU (Lift Directive) - this includes e.g. B. the classic passenger elevator
  • Certain machines within the meaning of Annex IV Number 17 of Directive 2006/42/EC (Machinery Directive) such as lifts for the disabled, construction lifts, facade access systems, transport platforms
  • circulation elevators

PLANTS IN EXPLOSIVE AREAS*


(Appendix 2, Section 3 BetrSichV), such as e.g.:

  • gas filling systems
  • storage facilities
  • filling points
  • gas stations
  • in-flight refueling facilities
  • other systems in potentially explosive areas

PRINTING EQUIPMENT*


(Appendix 2, Section 4 BetrSichV), which are defined as

  • steam boiler plants
  • pressure vessel systems
  • filling systems
  • Piping systems for certain hazardous media with toxic, flammable or corrosive properties
 

Information

Prerequisites

It is not possible to apply for this service, as a certificate of the periodic inspection of the system requiring monitoring must be submitted at the request of the authority

Documents required

The complaint is informal and can be made by telephone, e-mail or in writing. The following information (if known) is required for processing:

  • Type of systems requiring monitoring
  • time of commissioning
  • Information about the employer / operator
  • Information on how the information about the missing test was obtained from the complainant

Procedure

Upon receipt of a complaint or an indication that the prescribed recurring inspections have not been carried out on a system that requires monitoring, the authority for justice and consumer protection, Office for Consumer Protection, initiates an inspection at the employer/operator.

Processing time

It is not possible to apply for this service, so there is no processing time

Fees

If there is no certificate for the periodic inspection of the system requiring monitoring, the authority can issue an order that is subject to a fee. The arrangement is subject to a fee in accordance with the fee schedule (ArbSchGebO HA).

It is not possible to apply for this service, so there is no instruction on legal remedies.
