Apply for benefits for accompanying assistance in working life for employers

If you, as an employer, employ people with disabilities or equivalent status, you can apply for financial or advisory support.

Detailed description

As an employer, you can apply for so-called "benefits for participation in working life" for your severely disabled employees or those with equivalent status. The benefits are intended to ensure that jobs are created or maintained for severely disabled people or those with equivalent status. Possible benefits include:

  • Financial support for the creation of jobs and training places
  • Financial support for disability-friendly workplace design
  • Provision of work assistance
  • Advice and support
  • Wage subsidies
  • Prevention and health promotion

The scope of support is determined individually and depends on the service you require.

 

Information

Prerequisites

  • You employ severely disabled people or people with equivalent disabilities.
  • You would like to apply for benefits for a severely disabled person or person with an equivalent disability, or
  • You would like to request advice on the employment and/or support of severely disabled people or people with equivalent disabilities.

Documents required

  • Copy of a current proof of employment (employment contract)
  • Copy of the severely disabled person’s ID card or the equal treatment certificate

Depending on the nature of your request, additional documents may be necessary. You will be informed accordingly during the application process.

Please note

If you do not have the severely disabled person's ID card or the equal treatment certificate, your employee for whom you want to apply for the benefit can also send the document to the responsible authority.

Deadlines

You must submit the application in advance. Applications for aids that have already been purchased or services that have already been provided cannot usually be accepted.

Procedure

If necessary, the responsible authority will contact you in advance to advise you. The responsible authority can then support you in the application process.

If you already know which benefit you would like to apply for, you can submit the application without prior consultation. The application can be made online.

  • You fill out the application form or the query mask in the online portal.
  • You submit your application together with all necessary documents to the responsible authority.
  • The responsible authority will examine your application and, if necessary, request any missing documents or information from you.
  • While your application is being examined by the responsible authority, various other parties may approach you with further questions.
  • If necessary, the various parties involved will visit your company on site.
  • The decision regarding the approval of your application will be communicated to you in writing by post.
