Detailed description
With the online service you can:
- determine your child's name,
- Apply for child benefit,
- Order and pay for additional birth certificates.
After the registration, your child will be automatically entered into the residents' register. At the same time, your child's tax identification number will be applied for at the Federal Central Tax Office.
After processing, you will receive by mail:
- the birth certificates,
- your child’s tax identification number,
- the child benefit notice.
Child benefit is transferred directly to your bank account.
To register for the online service, you will need your identity card (eID). This confirms your identity, and your information can be transmitted directly and legally to the registry office and family benefits office. You no longer need to submit original documents.
