Approve clear cutting in the protection forest

Prerequisites

The measure must be necessary for forestry purposes and must not restrict the protective function of the forest. After the measure, the forest is to be reforested if the natural stocking remains incomplete.

Documents required

• Information on the plot / forest location (field map, description of location, size of area)
• Information on the type and scope of the planned measure
• Information on the objectives of the measure
• Justification why the objectives cannot be achieved in any other way
• If necessary, other forestry data and documents that the competent authority requests from you during the approval process.

Please note

The clear cut, the clear cut or the lowering of the tillering degree may only be carried out when the permit has become final. If there are conditions associated with the approval, these must also first be fulfilled before the measure can be started.

• In order to obtain a permit, you must apply to the competent authority and submit the necessary documents. The application can be made informally.
• The competent authority will examine your application and, if necessary, request additional documents from you.
• You will receive the result of the examination in the form of a written notification.

The processing time depends on the type and scope of the individual case. As a rule, you can expect processing within 8 to 10 weeks after receipt of the complete application documents.
