Detailed description

If you want to hunt as a young person, you must apply for a youth hunting license. With a youth hunting license, you can hunt accompanied by a guardian with hunting experience or a supervisor with hunting experience appointed in writing by your guardian(s). If you want to hunt regularly, you can apply for the youth hunting license as an annual hunting license.

 

Information

Prerequisites

  • You are at least 16 years old and not yet 18 years old at the time of issue
  • You have the necessary personal reliability
  • You have the necessary physical fitness
  • You have taken out hunting liability insurance
  • You have passed the hunting exam
  • The consent of the legal guardian is available

Documents required

  • ID
  • Certificate of the hunter’s exam
  • current photograph
  • Proof of statutory hunting liability insurance
  • Consent of the person with custody

Please note

With a youth hunting license you are not allowed to take part in group hunts.

Deadlines

The annual hunting license for young people is valid for a maximum of two consecutive hunting years. The hunting year begins on April 1st and ends on March 31st of each calendar year.

Procedure

  • You submit your application in writing or online and provide the necessary documents.
    • If you submit the application in writing, submit it by post or in person to the responsible office.
  • The responsible authority will check your application for completeness and correctness and, if necessary, request any missing documents or information from you.
  • The responsible authority will inform you in writing about the decision on your application.
