Steam boiler systems in the so-called category IV are heated pressure devices that are at risk of overheating and are used to generate steam or hot water with a temperature of more than 110 degrees Celsius. These are systems that require monitoring. These must be assembled, installed and operated according to the state of the art.
You need permission from the responsible authority if you have a Category IV steam boiler system:
- want to build and put into operation
- want to change the design or mode of operation in such a way that the safety of the system is influenced
Permission can be granted to you as follows:

- under conditions
- with conditions
If the facility requiring a permit is part of a facility requiring a permit, no separate permit will be issued. Approval includes permission.
