Health advice for people working in prostitution

If you want to work as a prostitute, or are already doing so, here's where and how you can get health advice.

Detailed description

If you intend to register your activity as a prostitute, you must seek medical advice.

Only registered persons are allowed to legally work as prostitutes in Germany.

If you are already registered as a prostitute, you must continue to receive regular health advice. This health advice primarily covers topics such as

  • Protection against (sexually transmitted) diseases,
  • Pregnancy and contraception
  • Risks of alcohol and drug abuse.

The conversation is confidential, meaning no information will be shared. If you don't speak or understand German well, you can request an interpreter or language mediator. Even then, the conversation will remain confidential.
