Prerequisites
- You may only collect waste from private households for commercial or charitable purposes.
- Your collection must not conflict with the interests of other citizens.
- Your ad must contain the following information:
- Name, address, contact details and responsible person(s) of the company,
- Information about the size and organization of your intended collection
- Information about the type, extent, scope and duration of your intended collection
- Information about the type, quantity and whereabouts of the waste intended for collection
- a description of the recovery routes planned within the indicated period, including the necessary measures to ensure their capacities
- an explanation of how you will ensure the proper and harmless recycling of the collected waste
Documents required
- Basic data of the notification: address, contact details, responsible person(s), business registration (date, registration number), commercial register number (if available), copy of the notification according to Section 53 KrWG, certification as a specialist waste disposal company (date, file number, copy).
- Commercial collections:
1. Size and organization of the company
2. Type, extent, duration of the collection
3. Type, quantity, destination of waste
4. Utilisation channels and measures to ensure capacities
5. Ensuring proper disposal
- Charitable collections:
1. Size and organization of the carrier and, if applicable, the third party commissioned
2. Type, extent, duration of the collection
3. Documents corresponding to the commercial collection (points 3-5)
Please note
Mixed waste from private households may not be collected commercially or for non-profit purposes (e.g. bulky waste). Electronic waste (defective old electrical devices) must be returned to the public waste disposal agency or to the dealers who are obliged to take it back.
If there are subsequent changes to the information provided in your advertisement, you must also notify the responsible authority of these changes 3 months in advance.
If you do not display your non-profit or commercial collection, do not display it correctly or do not display it on time, you are committing an administrative offense. This can be punished with a fine of up to EUR 10,000.
Deadlines
You must report the collection at least 3 months before it begins.
