Lost property that has not been collected after the expiration of the retention period and is in good condition will be auctioned.



You can auction off lost property if it has not been collected after the end of the retention period.

Please note

  • If storage would involve disproportionate effort and expense, a lost property may be auctioned before the storage period has expired.
  • At the end of the retention period, the lost property will be sorted by the responsible agency. Any non-lost property that cannot be auctioned and any lost property containing data that cannot be erased will be disposed of in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • The items are not tested for functionality. Bicycles are not tested for roadworthiness.
  • The following principle applies to all auctions held by the responsible authority: Purchased as seen!
  • You have no warranty claims due to any defect in the purchased item.
  • By appointment, you can view the lost property to be auctioned.
  • Due to space constraints, you won't be able to view any bicycles before the auction. During the auction, the bikes will be clearly displayed for everyone to see.
  • Under certain circumstances, the auctioned item can also be sent to you by mail. A fee will apply.

Deadlines

Lost property will be kept for up to 6 months before being auctioned.




You must collect the auctioned lost property within 10 days.

Procedure

  • Lost property that has not been collected after the expiration of the retention period and is in good condition will be put up for auction.
  • You can bid on these lost property at a public auction. The auctions take place online at www.zoll-auktion.de.
  • Take a close look at the item you've found before bidding.
  • You pay for the item you purchased at auction.
  • You collect the auctioned item from the responsible office within the deadline.

You must transfer the cost of the auctioned item before you can collect it.




Lost property acquired at auction suitable for mail delivery: 9 EUR.
