Apply for funding for measures to activate and integrate people into the workforce

Are you currently receiving basic income support and would like to return to work soon? Here you can find out what support can make it easier for you to (re)enter the workforce.

Detailed description

You can receive support to find work again or improve your chances on the job market. These programs, known as "activation and vocational integration measures," have goals such as:

to introduce them to the training and job market.
To identify and reduce obstacles that stand in your way when looking for a job.
To help them find employment subject to social security contributions.
to prepare them for self-employment.
To support them in keeping a new job long-term.

You can participate in such measures with a provider, for example an educational institution or organization, or directly with an employer.

Please note

There are no special considerations.

Deadlines

There is no deadline. Please contact the relevant authority well in advance of the planned start of the measure.

Measures implemented by an employer can last for a maximum of 6 weeks. If you are long-term unemployed or face particular barriers to employment, you can participate for up to 12 weeks. Measures to impart vocational skills may not last longer than 8 weeks.

Procedure & Fees

Procedure

You arrange an appointment with the relevant authority.
During the appointment, your integration specialist will discuss your support needs with you and advise you on the appropriate type of measure.
You submit an application.
The responsible authority will review your application and inform you of the decision in writing.
The job center can commission a provider to carry out the measure and offer you a place.
Alternatively, you can also obtain an activation and placement voucher from the job center. With this voucher, you can register yourself for a program of your choice.

Processing time

Processing usually takes between a few days and 12 weeks, provided all required documents are complete.
