Detailed description

Would you like to know where the boundaries of your parcel are or where the boundary stones are?
To do this, you must give an informal order in writing to the State Office for Geoinformation and Surveying (LGV) or a publicly appointed surveyor (ÖbVI).
The boundaries of the parcel are then established by on-site surveys and given to you.
The border points are marked by markings (boundary stones).
Further tasks:

  • Determination and securing of load areas
  • On-site border negotiations in the event of unclear conditions and disagreements about the border
  • Determination of distance dimensions for
    • Buildings to the border
    • Trees to the border
  • Certificates on property-related matters

 

Information

Prerequisites

  • The parcel is your property.
  • If you do not own the parcel, you will need a power of attorney from the owner.
  • If you co-own a parcel of land, everyone must agree to the measurement.
  • Those entitled to leasehold property are also entitled to place orders.
  • An order can only be placed in written form.

Documents required

Information on which parcels of land the boundaries are to be established for.

  • You own the parcel:
    • Evidence of this, for example, through a purchase contract, extract from the real estate register or extract from the land register
  • The plot of land belongs to several owners:
    • Consent of all co-owners
  • You do not own the parcel:
    • a power of attorney from the owner

There are no special features to note.

Deadlines

An objection must be made within one month.

Procedure

  • If you have any questions about creating parcel boundaries, we offer you free advice.
  • If a measurement is to be carried out, please give us an order (by email, fax or post).
  • By doing so, you agree to pay the fees for the surveying service, including the transfer of the results to the property cadastre.
  • The survey documents are compiled and the survey is carried out.
  • The results are incorporated into the property cadastre.
  • You will receive the fee notice.

The processing time depends on the scope of the survey.

Fees

The amount of the fee depends on the number of border points to be established.
