If you want to hunt with birds of prey or falcons in Germany, known as falconry, you need a falconry license. You must apply for the falconry license at the relevant authority. If you do not want to hunt regularly, you can apply for one in the form of a day hunting license.

 

Information

Prerequisites

  • You are at least 18 years old when issuing the permit
  • You have the necessary personal reliability
  • You have the necessary physical fitness
  • You have taken out hunting liability insurance
  • You have passed a falconry exam

  • Hunting license or special hunting license for falconers or certificate of the hunting exam or certificate of the special hunting exam for falconers
  • Certificate of falconry examination

The daily hunting license is valid for 14 consecutive days.

Procedure

  • You submit your application in writing or online and provide the necessary documents.
