Detailed description
Intra-community movement refers to movement between the member states of the European Union. The shipments from member states of the EEA (Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein) and Switzerland are equivalent to these.
On the other hand, animals and goods are imported from third countries. These are countries that do not belong to the European Union, with the exception of the states listed above.
Transit is understood to mean imported consignments that are then re-exported. They come from a third country and also go back to a third country.
Before each movement, import or transit, it should be clarified exactly which requirements have to be met in order to prevent the animals or goods being rejected at the border control point.
