Apply for recognition of an asbestos expertise course

Prerequisites

• In terms of content and scope, the course concept meets the requirements of the Hazardous Substances Ordinance, in particular the specifications of the technical regulations TRGS 519 on the Hazardous Substances Ordinance (asbestos).
• The content of the specialist knowledge course is factually correct and up-to-date.
• The teachers themselves are experts.
• The course is conducted as a face-to-face event.
• The course is conducted in German.

Documents required

Teaching material or documents on the course concept of the course to be recognized including

• Information on the qualifications of the teachers
• Comprehensible description of the practical parts

These documents should also include examination documents and information about the examination process (for example, examination form with evaluation and marking of the correct answers).

There are no deadlines for submitting an application.


The validity of the recognition is usually limited to three years; Extensions are possible.

Procedure

You can obtain recognition of a specialist training course from

apply to the competent authority.

• You submit the required documents to the responsible authority.
• The responsible authority will review your documents and, if necessary, request further information or documents.
• The competent authority grants or refuses recognition.

Processing time

Processing usually takes a few weeks. However, the actual time required depends primarily on the quality of the documents submitted and any additional requests for documents that may be necessary for the application to be examined.

Fees

Costs: variable from 100 to 1000 euros (according to the fee schedule, depending on the time required for processing)
