As a person with a disability, you can apply for an exemption from the fishing license requirement.

Detailed description

If your disability prevents you from taking a fishing license exam, you can apply for an exemption from the fishing license requirement.

The exemption permit allows you to fish with a hand rod together with an adult holder of a valid fishing license.

Prerequisites

You have a severe disability and can prove it.

Documents required

  • Severely disabled person’s card

Please note

You may need to prove that your severe disability prevents you from taking a fishing license exam. You can provide a medical certificate for this. Please consult the relevant authority beforehand.

Deadlines

You must have the exemption permit before you start fishing.




The validity of the exemption depends on the deadline on your severely disabled person’s card.

Procedure

  • You submit your informal, written application to the responsible authority.
  • The responsible authority will examine your application and, if necessary, request any missing documents or information from you.
  • The responsible authority will send you the exemption permit.

Processing time

Up to one week.

Fees

The exemption permit is free of charge. You must pay the fishing fee of EUR 10.00 before you start fishing.
