Show foreign financial investment brokerage and financial investment advice

Prerequisites

• You are a citizen of a member state of the European Union (EU) or of a contracting state of the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA)
• They have a branch in one of these countries for the purpose of carrying out brokerage or advisory activities relating to financial investments.

Documents required

• Proof of nationality (for example, identity card or passport)
• Proof of lawful establishment for the purpose of carrying out financial investment brokerage activities in a Member State of the European Union (EU) or a Contracting State of the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA)
• Proof that the performance of these activities is not prohibited
• Proof that there are no prior convictions
• Documents from your country of residence that prove your personal reliability to practice the financial investment brokerage business
• Proof of your professional qualifications if the activity of financial investment brokerage is also tied to the possession of certain professional qualifications in the country of establishment.
• Otherwise, proof that you have operated a financial investment brokerage business in the country of establishment for at least 2 years within the previous 10 years.
• Proof of insurance coverage or other type of individual or collective protection in relation to professional liability.
• Proof of your sound financial standing

Please note

• The permit is valid throughout Germany.
• The permit can be limited to one or more categories.
• Under certain conditions, the responsible authority may revoke your permission.

• You fill out the application with all the required information and attach the necessary documents.
• You can submit your application online or in writing to the relevant authority.
• The granting of the permit will be automatically entered into the register of intermediaries.
• Once you have received the permit, register your business before you begin operating.
