Detailed description

If the validity period of your foreign youth falconry hunting license, which was issued as an annual hunting license, has expired or is about to expire, you must apply for an extension if you wish to continue hunting in Germany.

 

Information

Prerequisites

  • You must be at least 16 and no more than 18 years old at the time of issue.
  • Your main residence is not in Germany.
  • You have the necessary personal reliability.
  • You have the necessary physical fitness.
  • You have taken out hunting liability insurance.
  • You already have a temporary falconry hunting license for young foreign persons (foreign youth falconry hunting license), the validity of which is about to expire or has already expired.
  • Your legal guardian or guardians consent.

  • German hunting license
  • German falconry license
  • Hunting license from home country
  • Falconry license from home country
  • if applicable, a current photograph
  • Proof of statutory hunting liability insurance
  • Consent of the person or persons with custody

There are no special features.

Deadlines

The annual hunting license for young people is valid for a maximum of two consecutive hunting years. The hunting year begins on April 1st and ends on March 31st of each calendar year.

Procedure

  • You submit your application in writing or online and provide the necessary documents.
    • If you submit the application in writing, submit it by post or in person to the responsible office.
  • The responsible authority will check your application for completeness and correctness and, if necessary, request any missing documents or information from you.
  • The responsible authority will inform you in writing about the decision on your application.
