Foreign youth falconry hunting license Apply for day hunting license for the first time

If you, as a young person of foreign origin, want to hunt with falcons and griffins (falconry) in Germany and you have not passed a German falconry examination, you must apply for a foreign youth falconry hunting license.

Detailed description

If you are a young foreign citizen and want to hunt with falcons and birds of prey (falconry) in Germany, you need a German falconry hunting license and hunting permit. If you cannot provide proof of a German falconry exam and hunter's exam, you can apply for a foreign youth falconry hunting license. If you do not want to hunt regularly in Germany, you can apply for one in the form of a day hunting license.

 

Information

Prerequisites

  • You are at least 16 years old and not yet 18 years old at the time of issue
  • Your main residence is not in Germany.
  • You have the necessary personal reliability.
  • You have the necessary physical fitness.
  • You have taken out hunting liability insurance.
  • You have passed a falconry exam.
  • You can provide proof of your suitability to properly practice hunting
  • Your legal guardian or guardians agree.

Documents required

  • Proof of identity (e.g. ID card or passport)
  • Hunting license issued in the home country within the last three years
  • Falconry license issued in the home country within the last three years
  • current photograph
  • Proof of statutory hunting liability insurance
  • written consent of the person or persons with custody

Please note

The day hunting license is valid for 14 consecutive days. With a foreign youth falconry hunting license you are not allowed to take part in group hunts.

The daily hunting license is valid for 14 consecutive days.

Procedure

  • You submit your application in writing or online and provide the necessary documents.
    • If you submit the application in writing, submit it by post or in person to the responsible office.
  • The responsible authority will check your application for completeness and correctness and, if necessary, request any missing documents or information from you.
  • The responsible authority will inform you in writing about the decision on your application.
