Starting work as radiation protection officer

Prerequisites

You can only become a radiation protection officer if you are qualified to represent your organization by law, the articles of incorporation or the articles of incorporation.

If the radiation protection officer is a legal entity or a partnership with legal capacity, the duties of the radiation protection officer shall be carried out by the person authorized to represent them by law, statute or partnership agreement.

If the body authorised to represent the company consists of several members or if other associations of persons have several persons authorised to represent the company, the competent authority must be informed which of these persons will perform the duties of the radiation protection officer.

The overall responsibility of all members of the body or of the association remains unaffected.

Deadlines

Immediately inform the competent authority when a person responsible for radiation protection starts work.

Procedure

• Your company or business checks who is qualified to represent the organization according to law, statutes or articles of association.
• They shall inform the competent authority in writing who will perform the duties of the radiation protection officer.
• You will not receive any confirmation of the notification from the responsible authority.
