Prerequisites
- You have German citizenship or a work permit valid for Germany.
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have already participated in a health consultation.
- You are currently registered in Germany or can provide proof of a delivery address.
Documents required
- Identity card, passport, passport substitute or ID card substitute
- Current passport photo (without border, 45 mm high x 35 mm wide)
- Current registration certificate or confirmation of registration (not older than 3 months) of your place of residence or main residence or, if you do not have a permanent residence, proof of a delivery address
- Certificate of participation in a health consultation
- Work permit or documents that allow you to work in Germany if you are not a citizen of the European Union
Please note
The registration certificate or the alias certificate and the certificate of health advice must always be carried when practicing prostitution.
The extension of a registration certificate can also be done in Hamburg if the previous registration certificate was issued in another federal state.
If you want to deregister your prostitution activity, you must appear in person.
The return of the registration certificate and, if applicable, the alias certificate will be confirmed to you in writing.
Deadlines
In order to continue working in prostitution, you must renew your registration certificate or alias certificate before the registration certificate expires.
If you are between 18 and 21 years old, you must renew your registration certificate after one year. If you are older than 21, you must renew your registration certificate after two years.
