Prerequisites
You must have a certificate of competency or have permission from an authority in order to report the burning of pyrotechnic objects.
Documents required
Please include all necessary information and documents with your notification so that the authorities can examine your project:
- Describe your plans and the location of the planned fireworks display in detail. In particular, provide the following information:
- Name and address of the persons responsible for setting off the fireworks and, if necessary, the number and date of the permit or certificate of competence and the issuing authority
- Location, type and extent as well as start and end of the fireworks
- Distances to particularly fire-sensitive buildings and facilities within the largest protective distance
- the security measures, in particular barrier measures and other precautions to protect the neighbourhood and the general public
- Please attach your permit or proof of competence to set off pyrotechnic articles to your report.
Please note
Category 2 pyrotechnic articles may also be set off on 31 December and 1 January by persons aged 18 or over.
Deadlines
Please note the following display deadlines for the fireworks you are planning:
Notification period of 2 weeks before burning for pyrotechnic items in the categories
- F2, for fireworks from January 2nd. until December 30th
- F3, F4, P1, P2, T1 and T2 all year round
Notification period of 4 weeks before burning off pyrotechnic objects in the immediate vicinity
- Railway facilities
- Airports
- Federal waterways, which are maritime shipping routes
