Notification of inspection bodies in the water sector (not drinking water)

Would you like to provide high-quality services as an expert or inspection body in the EU for tasks in the water sector (except drinking water)? Then you can apply for official recognition.

Detailed description

Particularly qualified persons (experts) or examination bodies (testing laboratories and samplers) can apply for their respective recognition in a federal state. This recognition is then valid nationwide. The procedure to be followed depends on the law of the federal state in which the recognition is applied for. If this country does not have its own recognition procedure under state law, it is based on the law of the country in which the procedure is carried out. After completion of the procedure, you will receive a decision in writing.

Prerequisites

There are

  • Requirements for the examination center and its organization,
  • Requirements for the reliability and expertise of the person in charge of the investigation body, as well as
  • Requirements for the number and specialist knowledge of the employees of the examination center
to fulfill.

Documents required

Complete application (at www.hamburg.de/hu) Accreditation certificate and attachments, excerpt from the commercial register, proof of insurance, declaration of commitment, QA measures, police clearance certificate and résumés of laboratory managers and managing directors, list of qualified personnel, list of instruments.

The repeat audit will be charged at cost, EUR 200-500.

Fees

The fee for the recognition of the examination body depends on the number of examination areas, EUR 325-3000.
