In the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, restaurants and bars are closed from Sunday to Thursday night from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. During this time, the catering establishments have to close.

For music performances, shows and other entertaining events, the daily closing time is from midnight to 6 a.m.

These closing times do not apply on New Year's Eve or on May 1st and 2nd. If your company is part of a folk festival or a market, this blocking period does not apply to you either.

The closure times are intended to protect the general public from constant noise pollution.

An extension of the blocking period is possible on request.
