You must notify the responsible authority under certain conditions of any change in the location, condition or operation of a wastewater treatment plant.
Important notes
Prerequisites
- You must build, operate and maintain wastewater systems in such a way that the requirements for wastewater disposal are met.
- Wastewater treatment plants that require approval must be built, operated and maintained by you in accordance with the state of the art.
Documents required
Please note
An existing water permit or indirect discharger permit may also need to be adjusted following changes to the system.
Deadlines
At least one month before the change is to start.

Procedure
- It is recommended that you contact the responsible authority in advance to determine whether your project requires notification or approval. The responsible office can also provide you with the necessary documents.
- You submit your report together with the necessary documents to the responsible authority.
- The responsible authority will check your ad for completeness and whether it may require approval and, if necessary, request any missing documents from you.
- The result of the test will be communicated to you.
Processing time
The processing time depends on the quality and scope of the applications and documents submitted.
